Mainstream Voucher FAQ

The office is now OPEN!

The Housing Authority office is OPEN to the public. For your convenience we have put applications and handouts in the bins outside by entry door. There is also a drop box in the same area that you can return any items. We will check this box several times per day if you didn’t want to come into the office. Of course, you can always call to schedule an appointment if that works better for you as well. We disinfect after each appointment and several times through out the day.

Section 8 Rental Assistance Waiting List OPEN

The waiting list for Section 8 rental assistance is OPEN.  You can print the Section 8 Pre-Application off under the forms tab or please call and we can mail you one.  During the pandemic we are allowing the application to be emailed, faxed or mailed.  Currently we are NOT able to pull anyone from the waiting list due to limited funding available.  We purge this waiting list every 6 months.   A letter will be mailed to the current address we have on file with a deadline to sign and return the form.  Failure to return the form by the deadline will result in your name being removed from the Waiting list.  We are NOT responsible for lost, undeliverable mail.  So, it is very important that you keep your address updated if you are on the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance waiting list.  You can update your address simply by calling the office, in writing or emailing the occupancy specialist.
